From high above the sun shone down on the golden beaches of Corellia, heating the sand and reflecting on the waters crystalline surface. A festival celebrating one of the local holidays was being held on the beaches and people from all around had flocked to the shores to join the festivities.

There was so much to do that it was impossible to become bored. There were fire dancers and bands placing, surfing and swimming, food and alcohol. Every so often a barrage of fireworks were let loose as the winner of some competition was announced. There was something for everyone.

Anika felt overwhelmed as she wandered through the crowds. Although the celebrations waned in comparison to some of the festivals back home but it was still grand and spectacular. She couldn’t decide where to go or what to do first but soon settles on sampling the local cuisine.

The sand was like fire beneath her feet. The combined heat of the sun and the shifting sea of bodies was causing sweat to roll down the column of her throat and to disappear into the valley of her cleavage. It was undeniable hot. Some might say it was unbearably so but it hadn’t bothered Savannah. She enjoyed the heat, found it comforting; soothing even.

But the crowds did no such thing. They irritated the woman, and made her feel uncomfortable without her weapons and armour. She felt exposed and vulnerable without them. Savannah wondered for the moment if Castor had come. She had told him about the festival. She had told him that she was going and that he should come.

Seeing him would calm her frazzled nerves as much as it would infuriate her. She scoffed, annoyed at herself for thinking of him. Savannah waded into the water and dove below the surface in an attempt to wash him from her thoughts. She hated him and didn’t want to see him. He was infuriating and addictive, and she needed to see him. That frightened her.

A festival? It seemed like the last place in the universe to find Lord Ravage, and yet for some reason here the man was. He was sitting in a wooden seat, watching a fire dancer performance and sipping a drink in his hand. The man looked bored and brooding. In theory this festival was a chance for him to enjoy himself, but Daxium didn't really do a lot of that. He was practically out of place at an event where people were having fun.

His yellowed eyes glanced down at the frozen drink he was sipping. It had a pineapple flavor, which he had to admit was quite good, though that may have been the alcohol talking.

The beach was always so sunny and hot and full of water. Braiden wasn't sure what he expected really, but then again nobody knew what Braiden expected out of life anyway. He was a traditional story of a bunch of talent gone to waste. No surprise to find him laying on a beach drinking. It was almost too cliche.

He was sun bathing on a towel with a p air of sunglasses on. His eyes were closed and he was just listening to the water and the commotion around him. The festival was loud but he was still coming down from a spice trip the night before so it really didn't bother him. He had no plans but to lay in the sun and sleep.

Nevaeh walked the shoreline, scooping up pieces of seaweed along the way. She was a ways down from the activity of the festival, where is was more peaceful. Just up ahead lay a cove she wanted to explore because the tide pools would be teaming with small animals and plants. The Witch was looking for specific ingredients in a potion she was making.

She hummed softly as she put the seaweed in a satchel she carried. The waves were crashing and foaming beautifully and the green Witch felt at peace.

Beckett stood a ways down the beach away from the greater part of the crowd. The sun, from all he'd researched was supposed to be good for someone with his condition. And Corellia had a glorious collection of flora and fauna, meaning he could at least do something he enjoyed while he was here. He certainly hadn't come for the festival, but then again, he did tend to find interesting things at the booths at such events. He'd mentally made a note to wander the festivities later, as he was always on the hunt for things for his shop.

While the sun was high though he intended to search the surrounding area for plants he could bring home to his green house. He wanted to be sure that the Crimson Moon was well stocked with a wide variety of supplies as it was his pride and joy. He wore his leather messenger bag which held his sample collecting supplies.

He was still wearing his usual dark, casual suit, but it was undone toward the top. He was standing on the beach allowing his two Opali's to scamper and roll in the sand and surf a bit. The larger male was almost full grown while the female was still small enough to be held. They were an adorably clumsy pair and they kept Beckett at least a little happy.

Finally a real party!

Kerrick was beside himself with joy. Here he was, sun, surf and curves in swimsuits. Dathomir just couldn't give this kind of luxury. Dressed in board shorts and sunglasses, he was enjoying getting a bit of sun on his skin and some dirty thoughts in his mind.

He was making sure to be very observant of his surroundings, and the many long legs that were making their way buy him. This was why he hadn't bothered to say hello to his cousin when he'd spotted him and his little rain cloud down the beach. The guy just didn't know how to have fun. Or how to appreciate a scantily clad woman.

He took a drink of the bottle he was carrying as he scanned the area for something else to shove down his gullet as he was very close to being done with whatever he'd gotten before. It was good, whatever it was. Sometimes it was better not to know. He tilted his sunglasses upward and narrowed his eyes a moment as he could have sworn he spotted a familiar face.

He shrugged and made his way over, shoving the last of his food in his mouth. He stood slightly behind and to the side of the young woman exploring the options.

"Hey." He said casually, not at all like a Nightbrother born on Dath, but that was the glory of the world rubbing off on you from traveling. He chewed a bit and looked at his drink. "I feel like I've seen you somewhere. It was driving me nuts." He said and looked at her as he swallowed, his brows raised some. It would have been a great strategy to meet girls, if he wasn't completely sincere about it. He couldn't have fun if he was obsessively trying to figure out if he had in fact seen this girl before or not.

He wasn't certain but she looked like that girl who he saw with Beckett once. And if that was true he needed the lowdown on that. Beckett was no ladies man, and Kerrick needed to know why a female had suddenly taken an interest in him.

Festivals always seemed to occur on one world or the next; some had been grand soirees of the highest prestige that ranged all the way down to local events. Crowds gathered and some had been partnered with a loved one or date, others had come alone or with family. It had been those moments that seemed to freeze time, that all else that was happening in the galaxy seemed to vanish in the haze.

A finger teetered a decorative umbrella to and fro within the crimson liquid. The alcohol had clung to the small breeze that wavered around the seaside bar and lifted to her nostrils. It was sweet, like candy, and it only tempted her more. Vanity watched the fruit within the glass bobble up and down, side to side, as if it were something entertaining when in truth she had grown rather bored. The drinking and conversing with strangers had yet to hold any promise of a good time.

With the line now moving, Anika had seen focused on the menu displaying the variety of food and beverages. She was leaning slightly out of the line to get a better look, and was touching the tip of her finger to her lips thoughtfully. It was only when the voice of a stranger disrupted her concentration that she had moved back into place and turned to see whom it was. She peered up at the man, her nose crinkling slightly due to the way he had spoken with a mouthful of food.

His manners were sorely lacking and the young woman wasn’t certain she wanted to converse with him. He was not familiar and she could not recall having met him before this moment. “No. I do not believe we have met.” Words laced with the hint of a Dathomiri accent were spoken in a soft timber of voice as she gave a small shake of her head. She continued to gaze at him wondering if he would continue the conversation or go about his business.

*OOC: I am assuming Kerrick is speaking to Anika as I believe she's the only one in this thread to have met Beckett. If I am wrong please let me know and I can edit this post. : )

/Anika/

Kerrick looked at her, and the moment that familiar accent hit his ears he grinned. What he lacked in manners he certainly made up for in charm. Which was pretty much how he skated through life. He wasn't a BAD guy but he was rough around the edges.

"aaah, a Dath girl. See now I know you're the one I was thinking of." He said, having long lost his accent it was hard to imagine the man had been born and raised for some of his life on Dathomir. " Kerrick Sym." He said as he almost put his hand out to her, before remembering that even though he wasn't on Dath, he was talking to a nightsister...

"Sorry, two cultures one distracted brain."

He looked her over. "so, I saw you with Becky." He said with a slight bob of his brow. He didn't really make any attempt to hide the fact that he was fishing for an explanation

Sunlight. It could be a friend to many things, in fact, it was often needed for things to grow. Well if you didn’t have abilities that allowed you to make things grown like many Nightsisters could pull off after years of studies. For others, it was their enemy as not everything liked it’s rays of heat and bright light. However when one attended the beach one often wanted the sun to be out so they could get a nice golden tan, so one female was definitely glad that the weather was behaving on this day. How else would she show off the fabulous new bathing suit and cover she had purchased at one of the local clothing stores? Pandora had rather admired the look of white against the black and grey bathing suit, even if she had wished the cover-up had been in a nice dark purple instead. At least, it would allow the eyes of many males to be upon her, even if they weren’t worthy to do such things. It was fun to tempt them with the things they couldn’t have.

Strolling along the edge of the beach, where the tide kissed the sand, her strappy sandal shoes dangling from her right hand as the left was casually swung out to the side in time with her strides. Behind her for brief moments was a trial of her footprints. Her attention fluttered from the beautiful view of the ocean back to the people that were celebrating the festival in many different ways. She smiled as she spotted a few people from Dathomir shit recognized but moved on to just enjoy the sights, sounds and scents of the event. She was mostly enjoying the breeze that was coming in off the water, as she searched the coastline for maybe some boats or even a dock where surely a boat could be found. Boating on the water was often fun and just happened to be one of her favorite pass times or rather a guilty pleasure. Something she hadn’t told too many people about. Surely there would be some boats available for rent.

Shaymade her way down the beach enjoying the energy of the festival. She loved the lively sprit of parties like this. People came from all around for the sun, the surf, the beach. She came for the people, the spirit.

She was smiling softly to herself as she enjoyed the sand on her bare feet. Today was a good day because here she was and how blessed she felt. She lived for this wonderful feeling. She glanced up onto the beach and looked at the many people sun bathing, but one solitary figure caught her eye.

She'd been around enough to know when someone was blitzed. She smirked impishly.

Shay accepted people for what they were, good or bad. She couldn't blame anyone for anything, everyone had their own story. It didn't bother her that this guy was clearly coming down off something. In fact she decided to strolled right up to him and flopped down in the sand beside him.

Sitting up on her elbows she looked out at the ocean, casually as if they were old buddies. He looked over at him and smiled.

"Was it good?"
She asked slyly with full intention on messing with him a little.

Ahh this was just what Callista needed, a giant festival that was supplying a lot of liquor, other beverages, food and most of all fun. She often times hated being a seer that could use water and blood to see things, it made doing things around water sometimes awkward when the power decided to make an appearance. She just hoped that this would be a time it would stay in the depths of her mind, Calli really wanted to just have some fun.

Her steps were a clear strut as she sported a rather beautiful cover over her two piece bathing suit of a dark blood red fabric. Her hair was done up in a rather chaotic ponytail that was held in place by two sections of her hair wrapped around the tail’s base. There was a set of sunglasses over her eyes and a rather nice large brimmed sun hat on her head that matched the color of her sandals that had straps wrapped up around her calves. Callista smirked each time a male would look toward her, or even let out a call cat whistle. However none of those men would ever have a hope of taming her wild soul, no that job was being held for one man and at the moment she didn’t see him around.

Heading toward one of the bars, Callista leaned against the counter top smiling at the bartender as she removed her sunglasses. Playfully chewing on the end of one of the earpieces, her eyes roamed over the selections of booze decorating the glass shelves behind the man. “I’ll take that one,” She used the glasses to point a martini glass of a blue shade that held a cherry red liquid and was dusted with sugar and salt mixture along the rim. It also had a cherry like fruit floating among it slushy icy mixture. Turning her back to the man as he set to work mixing her poison, Callista slipped the glasses back on and just watched as a couple began to playfully chase each other around in the sand.

It wasn’t every day that she was able to venture from Dathomir and partake in the festivals of other planets. Vitani had heard rumours of the Corellian Beach Festival and was now there she was standing at the water’s edge with her arms stretched high over her head. She was enjoying the feel of the sea spray against her face and the feel of the water lapping at her toes.

But there was something other than the sand and sea that had interested her. Further along the beach were the fire dancers and from a distance she watched them. The way the flames moved was hypnotic to her; the need to touch and direct the scorching blazes was stinging in her blood as the flames strived for life in the Force.

Having grown tired with only watching she began striding toward them with confident steps. Fire was her element, and there was no fear of failure or being burnt. “Do you mind if I try?” She asked the lead dancer. Upon her lips was a lovely smile as he reluctantly handed his equipment over.

Anika eyed the man with suspicions as he spoke. He had mentioned she was the one he had been thinking off and she wasn’t sure what to make of that. With an eidetic memory she had known for a fact that they had never met, and she wouldn’t have forgotten his face so easily. She crossed her arms over her chest as he offered a hand, though he seemed to have thought better of such an offer.

Anika only waited for him to explain, and when he had done so her brow crinkled in confusion. “Becky?” She repeated, certain she had misheard him. However that had not been the case. Anika did not known anyone, male or female, by that name or one similar. Unless… “Are you referring to Beckett?” The young man was the only one she thought he could have meant.
